Who is Symbi-ARC Studio Inc.?

We are a start-up architecture firm in Carleton Place, Ontario.

Our name is the first thing you probably notice about us, and we want to make an impression. Here is what our name is all about:

Symbi-ARC Studio Inc

Symbi: We believe architecture is about time and place, its meant to be symbiotic to those things. It should not only fit in with those things, but also make them better.

ARC: This is meant to symbolize the architecture itself, no matter the scale. Our commitment is to do our absolute best to make it memorable and make sure it fits into the whole, like the arc of a circle.

Studio: This meant to represent the people, both within and outside the firm. It is meant to be inclusive of all the people who encounter our work (Project team, clients, end-user, passerby’s, etc.)

Inc.: The simple answer is that it tells the world that we are incorporated. We’ve gone through all the legal requirements to make sure of that! But there is more to why we included it in our name, we wanted it to symbolize the incorporation of all of the things mentioned above into one entity.

And finally, you’ll notice that our acronym is SASI. This was not by accident! It’s meant to remind us to take our work seriously, but not ourselves.

We look forward to serving the national capital region (NCR), with a focus on the western townships where we are based.
